Group Strength and Balance Classes

Group Strength and Balance classes are run by Physiotherapists and are suited to people who have balance problems or general physical weakness. 

Benefits include:

  • Improved bone density and the reduction in incidence of osteoporosis

  • Increased lean muscle and overall strength

  • Alleviate stress and anxiety

  • Falls prevention and increased balance and muscular control

  • Improving pelvic floor and core stability

  • Social connections

 

During Strength and Balance sessions, your instructor will challenge and work on your balance, and will take you through a series of movements that will help to improve flexibility, increase functional core strength, and improve posture and body awareness. 

 

Before beginning Strength and Balance sessions at Synergy Healthworks, one of our Physiotherapist Instructors will complete an individual thorough history and musculoskeletal assessment to ensure that our classes are appropriate for your needs and so that our instructors are aware of your injuries or weaknesses.

 

Because our instructors are Physiotherapists, most Health Funds will provide a rebate for our Strength and Balance classes.
