Mums & Bubs Pilates
Mums & Bubs Pilates at Synergy is specifically tailored to focus on the post natal body and are run by physiotherapists who have done further training in pilates. The participants have a whole lot of fun and gain skills that are really helpful in getting your body back into pre-pregnancy shape.
The classes focus on core and pelvic strength and control, postural correction, managing abdominal separation, prevention/ management of continence issues, and getting your body prepared for aerobic and high impact exercise if needed.
Generally the Babies laze around on the floor on a playmat or in a capsule. They like looking at the other babies and being close to Mum. We have plenty of staff always ready to have a cuddle with the babies if they're a bit sad.
Mums & Bubs Pilates can be started as soon as you are cleared by your Obstetrician, but it is a good idea to make an appointment with one of our Physiotherapists sooner to ensure that any abdominal separation or continence issues are addressed before that time.
